The theme of incompleteness is also explored through J. S. Bach’s famous final fugue from The Art of Fugue. According to a well-known urban legend, Bach died while writing this unfinished fugue. However, a recently published study offers a compelling alternative theory. Was the unfinished ending intentional? And could Bach have been the original father of our chain letter idea?
Toppila’s silo, one of the remaining buildings from the Toppila pulp mill designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto in 1931, was abandoned after the mill’s closure in the 1980s. The silo is listed as a nationally significant protected site and is currently being renovated into a public multipurpose venue and community space.
Please note: AaltoSiilo is still under renovation and may be chilly in cold weather.
