Forest

Thu 07.08.2025
19:00
1 h 30 min inc. intermission
The concert presents the diversity of the forest through music, scent, and words. In addition to Sibelius’s Tree Suite, you’ll hear trees not found in Finnish forests. Author and freelance journalist Jenni Räinä will speak about how forests are disappearing. Is it utopia – or our near future?

The concert is dedicated to the memory of violinist and activist Eriikka Maalismaa (1980–2024).

Please note that the venue may be chilly in case of cold weather. There is no designated parking at the venue; cars can be parked at the Pohjois-Ii School parking lot (Virkkulantie 27, about 650 m from the Kuivuri venue).
