Oulunsalo Soi in brief

Oulunsalo Soi is a people-oriented, intimate, diverse and high-quality chamber music festival.

The festival, which takes place in mid-August in the Oulu region, was founded in 1998. The festival’s artistic director is violist Atte Kilpeläinen.

Every year, the festival features national and international artists as well as promising young artists. In addition to the traditional concerts, the programme also includes cross-artistic content.

Each year, the festival selects the Visual Artist of the Year. The artist has been given exhibition space at the Oulunsalo Library for the duration of the festival and their work is used in the visual identity of the festival.

The festival is produced by Oulun Kulttuuritapahtumayhdistys ry.

Oulu August Festival and Ekokompassi
